Carol Ann Noronha is an independent film producer and aspiring writer/director from Karachi, Pakistan. She is an alumnus of the Berlinale Talents 2022 program and recently founded her production house 67°E Studios.
Her latest work ‘Inflames’ as Associate Producer had its World Premiere at Cannes 2023, Director’s Fortnight and ‘The Queen of my Dreams’ as Executive Producer will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival 2023. Both features are Canadian/Pakistani co-productions and a path that she wants to explore in the future. As a producer, Noronha’s credits include four short films that have premiered/screened at acclaimed festivals; Dia (Locarno Film Fest 2018), Stray Dogs (Claremont Ferrand), BFI London Film Festival 2020), 1978 (Official selection, Locarno Film Fest 2020) and Bhai (TIFF 2021) among others venues.
She has been an active part of the commercial industry in Pakistan, having worked as a producer with various agencies, brands and artists on television/digital commercials, music videos and digital campaigns. Her vision for 67°E Studios is to build strong cross border relationships, allowing for more co-productions to flow through the borders of Pakistan; to allow the expansion of thinking, dreaming big and extending a home of learning and opportunities for all.

She has been an active part of the commercial industry in Pakistan, having worked as an assistant director for Jamshed Mahmood (Jami), one of the leading directors in Pakistan

Umaima Taj is a filmmaker from Karachi, Pakistan and a film production graduate from the University of West London, with a minor in creative writing. She has been an active part of the commercial industry in Pakistan, having worked as an assistant director for Jamshed Mahmood (Jami), one of the leading directors in Pakistan, as well as other noted directors, various agencies, brands and artists on multiple projects. Some of her notable projects include Shell Rimula (2016), Trucker’s Journey (2016),Telenor Ravaan (2017), Shell – A Uber (2020) and The Citizens Foundation Ramzan Campaign (2023). In 2019 she was Creative Manager of IO Digital Agency, leading marketing campaigns for brands across Pakistan.
In 2019 Taj worked as assistant director on the short film ‘1978’ that premiered at Locarno Film Festival, directed by Hamza Bangash. She made her debut in 2020 as writer/director with the digital video ‘Jo Mai Chahoon’ - a dedication to the women of Pakistan. The video went viral and gained commercial success across the country. Shortly after she Associate Produced the short film ‘Lamentations’along with Producer, Carol Noronha and director Mohammad Ali Hashmi. The film is currently in post-production phase.

Sourath Behan is a film editor and colorist based in Karachi, Pakistan. She began her career as the co-editor of the critically acclaimed Pakistani film Moor (Mother) in 2015, and since then has been actively working in the industry as an editor and colorist on various television commercials, documentaries and films. Sourath Behan is a film editor and colorist based in Karachi, Pakistan. She began her career as the co-editor of the critically acclaimed Pakistani film Moor (Mother) in 2015, and since then has been actively working in the industry as an editor and colorist on various television commercials, documentaries and films. As a filmmaker, Sourath firmly believes that a good narrative lies in the hands of a powerful editor. Some of her earliest works include two Public Service Announcements: Blindfolded (2014), that highlights child labour in Pakistan, and Unbeatable (2016) for UN Women Pakistan.
She was also the associate editor on Pakistan’s first Netflix original, Sitara: Let Girls Dream, and a part of Pakistan’s first YouTube original series.
In 2016 Sourath attended the International Professional Certificate Program at the University of California, Los Angeles, as part of the HDI Emerging Filmmakers Workshop. Her short documentary, The Invisible Line, premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival, 2017. She was then hired as Head of Post-Production, Senior Editor and Colorist at SOC Films, where she further developed a love for documentary narratives.
Sourath continues to actively work in the Pakistan film and television industry as one of the few female editors and colorists. Fluent in English, Urdu and Sindhi, Sourath has an international outlook and, as a filmmaker and artist, she strongly believes in the power of visual storytelling and its ability to bring about positive change.
